About

We collectively and consciously decided that science was going to lead what we do here at WellGen. We recognize that too much science-speak can quickly lead to confusion. We value keeping things simple – simple formulations and simple & direct claims. We take quality very seriously and WellGen made sure that our theaflavin enriched black tea and our products are manufactured to the most exacting standards. And last but not least, we love what we do, give it our all and feel great doing it.

The greatest reward for all of our efforts is to get feedback from our consumers. We hope you will join the Te Amé™ conversation.

What is Te Amé™

Te Amé™ is a product line created by scientists at WellGen, Inc. We use the science of nutrigenomics to find natural products that we enhance to provide health benefits above what the whole food provides. We believe strongly in using science to pursue the best discoveries and use rigorous programs for testing and developing products. The story of WellGen® theaflavin-enriched black tea extract.

Nancy Rawson – Science & Technology

I’m passionate about the process of discovery and putting those discoveries to work to help people.  My scientific background is unusually diverse including research in the areas of inflammation, nerve regeneration, appetite control and flavor perception. My first job as a nutritionist at Campbell Soup Co. planted the seed of someday putting my knowledge to work to create food products with distinct, scientifically substantiated wellness benefits. WellGen represents the ideal opportunity for that seed to bear fruit.

“I’m honored to be leading a group of wonderfully talented and dedicated scientists committed to doing the highest quality research. WellGen’s research programs are teaching us more and more about how foods influence health at the very basic level of our genes. As scientists, seeing these discoveries translated into products with real health benefits gives us even more to get excited about.”

Patricia Lucas-Schnarre – Marketing & Product Development

I’ve spent most of my career working on women’s wellness products, first at Kimberly-Clark, then at Bayer and Avon. For the past four years, I have been working at WellGen because I believe this is the future of wellness.

“I work with the most caring group of entrepreneurs — people who think first about helping others and much less about how money can be made doing it. The best part of working at WellGen and on Te Amé is that we play well together too.”
