Breaking News Says Tea Consumers May Have Younger Biological Age

The polyphenols in tea may be responsible for a longer life. A study in Hong Kong showed that people who consumed more tea had longer telomeres than people who consumed less tea. According the study scientists, telomeres (DNA strands at the end of chromosomes that get shorter as cells age) are responsible for biological ageing. Other studies have tested the hypothesis of telomeres and have shown modest improvements in years of healthy life although no impact on survival or avoidance of diseases in older people.longevitea5
